The primary contacts were the classmates of the 10-year-old boy, his teachers, relatives and neighbours from the Amochhu temporary shelter. Until this evening, around 230 contacts were traced and samples collected for RT-PCR testing.

The 29-year-old mother who tested positive for COVID-19, and her husband who tested negative, got the first dose of the COVID jab recently.

According to the situational update from the health ministry, a frontline worker on quarantine duty in Phuentshogling also tested positive for COVID-19 in addition to the three frontline workers who were detected with the virus yesterday. Meanwhile, the delivery services of essential items including LPG cylinders will start from tomorrow.

As per the notification from the incident management team, the import of essentials and all kinds of export will be facilitated as usual. The emergency travels and funeral services shall also be facilitated.
