A fire burned down two traditional houses at Pangkhar chiwog under Khoma Gewog in Lhuentse today. The accident occurred at around 3:30 this morning.
The families lost all their belongings to the fire which is suspected to have broken out due to a short circuit from one of the houses. A team, led by Dzongda and police personnel rushed to the site immediately but the fire could not be controlled. The Dzongkhag Administration provided disaster kits to the victims. And the neighbours are helping the victims construct a makeshift shelter.
There is no report of any casualty.
