A 49-year-old man from Trashigang is in custody for allegedly molesting his 12-year-old niece, in Bumthang. The incident happened at a Department of Roads’ construction worker’s camp in Chhumig about two weeks ago.

The girl and her brother reportedly slept with the suspect during the incident. The brother told the father about an alleged sexual assault in the morning. Police said the suspect confessed to the crime. The case will be forwarded to the Office of the Attorney General soon.
