A total of 500 relocated students left for their schools in Phuentshogling from Punakha and Wangdue Phodrang today morning. They were students of classes X and XII who appeared for the board exams of 2020.

Some 1,600 teachers and students of classes IX to XII were relocated in September last year to Wangdue Phodrang, Punakha and Samtse.  The National Task Force recommended the redistribution as Phuentshogling is considered a high-risk area for COVID-19.

Students of classes IX and XI left for Phuentshogling on the 28th of last month from Wangdue and Punakha.
