His Holiness appoints new Principal of Kidheykhar Shedra in Monggar

His Holiness the Je Khenpo appointed the new Principal of Kidheykhar Lungtok Choki Gatshel Shedra of Monggar today. His Holiness conferred dhar to the newly appointed Principal at Namdruling Goenzin Dratshang in Autsho in Lhuentse.

43-year-old Tshewang Gyeltshen from Tsakaling in Monggar is the new Principal of Kidheykhar Lungtok Choki Gatshel Shedra. He started his monastic education from Monggar Rabdhey. He then went to Ngatshang Tashi Choling Shedra and received various teachings from numerous teachers.

He graduated from Tango University of Buddhist Studies and also completed his three years retreat there. Prior to this appointment, Tshewang Gyeltshen served as the senior teacher at the same Shedra. He also served as the Lam of Nganglam Drungkhag in Pema Gatshel.
