Addressing the lack of reference materials for the construction-related subjects faced by the field experts, academicians and policymakers, the Construction Development Board (CDB) published the Construction Journal titled “GNH Journal of Construction Technology and Management” today. This is the first of its kind.

The Journal contains an analysis and an extensive study on the issues and the factors leading to the growth and the delay of the construction sector. The journal aims to disseminate information about the construction sector and create a platform for the researchers to share their ideas and knowledge.

“It is going to be beneficial to all the construction related authors, academicians and field experts. They can submit their research papers and then it can ascertain the contribution of the construction sector on the economic progress of the country. And finally, it can build a community of the people that will play an active role as an individual and as a community in the research development and the improvement of quality of the infrastructure of Bhutan,’’ said Yeshi Choden, the Dy. Executive Engineer at the CDB.

The Journal focuses on topics related to procurement, design, architecture, urban planning, and occupational health among others. The journal will be published annually.
