Confined within the four walls of his home, innovation took the reins of his life during the lockdown. The young resident of Thimphu has managed to build a drone.
After working for two years in Malaysia as a Drone Service Support Officer, Sangay returned home in August last year to be with his mother. Ever since, his hands got busy, building what he calls ‘a part of his life’.
Illegal operation of drones is restricted in the country. However, one can operate it after registering and with prior approval from the Bhutan Civil Aviation Authority (BCAA).
Drones, also known as ‘Unmanned Aerial Vehicles’, come in different sizes and shapes. They are controlled by a remote from the ground.
