A two-storied traditional house was razed to the ground last night at Yagyur under Khar Gewog in Pema Gatshel. The fire accident took place at around 11:15 PM and there was no one in the house during the time of the accident.
The owner left for Thimphu two months ago for his medication. His daughter, who lives nearby, looked after it. All the belongings were lost to the fire. Rural insurance and relief family kits and Royal Semso were handed over to the daughter from the RICBL office and Dzongkhag Kidu office.
The cause of the fire is not known and the case is under investigation.
