The flu clinic in Phuentshogling is now shifted from the hospital to multi-level car park, yesterday. This was as per the Health Ministry’s directives to take flu clinic away from hospitals. In the last 24 hours, over 60 people were screened at the clinic. Since the clinic is within a walking distance, it is convenient for the people to avail the services.

“I think the government has done a good job by shifting the flu clinic here. In the previous flu clinic at the hospital, more people gather there as people come for a regular check-up to hospital. So, even space is bigger here, It is much convenient here,” said Nima Dorji, a resident of Phuentshogling.

“The flu clinic here is located at the heart of the town. It is very convenient for us to avail the services. Here the clinic is only for testing COVID-19. In the previous flu clinic, all kinds of flu are being tested there. So, it is better here,” added Chimi Dorji, also a resident of Phuentshogling.

The flu clinic is helping decongest patients at the hospital. The clinic is rendering round the clock services to the people.

In the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, the multi-level car park is otherwise underutilised with just countable vehicles using it.
