The 27-year-old woman who tested positive for COVID-19 in Gelegphu on August 10 is now in de-isolation facility after testing negative on RT-PCR test, yesterday.

After she tested positive, the government enforced nationwide lockdown on August 11 to trace her contacts and minimise the spread. However, all her primary contacts tested negative for the virus and are still under the facility quarantine across few districts.

Meanwhile, the 25-year-old woman who was in the isolation ward in Gelegphu for more than a month was also moved to de-isolation after testing negative on the RT-PCR test, yesterday. She returned from India and was in a facility quarantine when she tested positive for the virus on July 12. She was in the isolation ever since and undergone 17 RT-PCR tests and two rapid tests.
