Taxi drivers on the frontlines of COVID-19 response

25 taxi drivers, volunteers of the Bhutan Red Cross Society have been working on the frontlines, supporting the COVID-19 response efforts in the capital, Thimphu.

The drivers, donning red jumpsuits, assist in ferrying health workers across Thimphu and test samples from the 10 testing centres to the Royal Centre for Disease Control.

There are currently 100 taxi drivers across the country who are working as volunteers for the Bhutan Red Cross Society.
