Since the launch of the Build Bhutan Project on July 1 this year, only 216 registered applicants have been employed through direct engagement in different construction sectors, and almost 140 applicants were sent off to different institutes for skilling.
Speaking to BBS, the labour minister shared the lack of employment skills and employers’ demand for skilled workers are some of the major challenges faced by the project.
