Thinley Tempa from Doongchhilo village under Dechhenling Gewog in Pema Gatshel tried growing watermelon at this time, but heavy rain dashed his hopes of a bountiful harvest. Usually, after the first harvest in May, farmers do not cultivate watermelons.
