Coronavirus community transmission in Jaigaon

17 people tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours  in what is reported as the first confirmed cases of community transmission in the neighbouring Indian town of West Bengal, according to local media in Jaigaon

As per reports,  the positive cases include health officials and police personnel.

Meanwhile, the West Bengal state government has announced that a complete lockdown across the state will be enforced twice a week, from next week.
