After nearly three months of no contact sports in the country, in view of the pandemic, restrictions were finally lifted yesterday. Following the announcement yesterday, various government and private sports centres in Thimphu have been flooded with inquiries and reservation calls.
Meanwhile, the government has urged all sports and fitness facilities to ensure minimum attendance at all times. For archery, only 15 people will be allowed to take part and no dancers and onlookers will be allowed. Similarly, snooker and video game parlors were also allowed to be opened from today.
All have been asked to follow contact tracing rules, including the use of Druk Trace App or manual registration.
