All the 10 Bhutanese in New York recover from COVID-19

All the 10 Bhutanese residing in New York who tested positive for COVID-19 have recovered, according to the president of the United Bhutanese Association of New York. He also shares that all Bhutanese residing in the US are doing good. 

According to him, of the last two COVID-19 patients in New York, one was under home quarantine while the other was discharged from the facility quarantine by the end of last month after recovering. The other eight COVID-19 patients have recovered by mid of last month.

With a recent COVID-19 case in Abu Dhabi, there are 23 Bhutanese living abroad who tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Foreign Ministry.

Meanwhile, with no new cases detected in the last 24 hours, the country is still with the 66 confirmed cases. And the Ministry of Health has declared one more individual as recovered after completing the two week de-isolation period. With this, there are 22 recovered.

While in India, there are over 300,000 cases with some half of the total number recovered. And 9,520 deaths from COVID-19 were reported. Overtaking the UK, Italy and Spain, India is among the top four worst-hit countries in the world. Many countries across the world started easing the restrictions.

There are about 8 million cases in the world.
