Tsirang Dzongkhag Disaster Management Committee recorded 19 minor disaster reports as of 12 noon today due to the heavy rainfall and windstorms. All the damages were caused yesterday.

Damages to a few acres of maize fields and some public and private structures were reported. There are also reports of blockages of some farm roads in the district.

The concerned gewog administrations are assigned to clear the farm road blockages and asked the gewog officials along with gewog agriculture extension officers to carry out assessments for the maize field damages since it doesn’t require any immediate interventions from the central government as of now.

Meanwhile, the district is still experiencing a heavy downpour.
