Two more Bhutanese in New York have recovered from COVID-19 bringing the total number of recovered cases to eight. There are still two more patients and they are reported to be recovering as well. 10 Bhutanese tested positive for COVID-19 in New York to date.

Under the supervision of the task force there, one patient is in facility quarantine while the other is in a home quarantine.

And a Bhutanese living in Qatar tested positive for COVID-19 this morning taking the total number of Bhutanese overseas cases to 22.

Meanwhile in the country, till this morning, except for the 6th case who is in the de-isolation, rest 15 COVID-19 patients are still in the isolation ward. According to the Health Ministry, all patients are fine.

Nearly 4.8 M people have been infected with COVID-19 with over 2 million people having recovered globally. In Europe, the UK, Italy and Spain recorded their lowest death tolls since March.

And with the extension of the lockdown in India, there are some relaxations such as private cars and buses can now operate across cities and towns. However, flights, schools and colleges, train services and religious places will remain closed.
