A COVID-19 scare in Paro, PCR test clears all positive cases

Five individuals tested positive on the rapid test kit yesterday in Paro. They were retested for confirmation by Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) and all came out negative later. 

From the five, three were students who completed their quarantine yesterday, and one Desuup on duty and the last one was a housekeeping staff in the quarantine facility. All of them were sent home after the PCR test results except for a student and her roommate and the Desuup and his roommate. They will be kept under observation for another week in the quarantine facility.

A total of 309 people were tested on the rapid test kit yesterday in Paro. 68 individuals including those who completed their quarantine and officials/ hotel staff/ security personnel were also tested. The rest were passengers coming from abroad.
