With all point of entries in Sarpang closed, district officials along with police, army, Desuups and volunteers are focusing on making sure there are no trespassers moving through illegal routes. Moreover, after the neighbouring border town of Bongaigaon in Assam declared a Red Zone area recently, the district is taking all the necessary measures.
Bongaigaon town is around 50 kilometres away from Gelegphu.
