Tandin Wangchen, 35, won the Mr. Bhutan 2012 title, beating 14 other competitors at the 5th national bodybuilding championship, held yesterday in Thimphu.
Mr. Bhutan won a cash prize of Nu. 95,000 along with the title.
The participants were judged by 6 experts based on their mass, definition, proportion, symmetry and stage presentation. Unlike last year, this year the participants had to compete in a single open weight category.
The top three contestants will represent Bhutan in the Asian Championship to be held in China.
The top five bodybuilders of the competition will represent Bhutan in the 9th South Asian Bodybuilding Championship to be held in the Maldives.
