Zhemgang Dzongkhag administration says they can ensure food sufficiency for people of Zhemgang even in the worst-case scenario.

The Dzongkhag known as one of the least developed and a largely inaccessible district in the country with a high poverty rate is fully prepared to ensure food security for its people says the Dzongkhag administration. Blessed with the highest forest coverage in the country, their greatest asset is their rich bio-diversity.

BBS spoke to Dzongda Lobsang Dorji to find out what makes the Dzongkhag administration confident about achieving food security in Zhemgang, amid the COVID-19 situation.
