From groceries to quarantine centres to vegetables, Bumthang is equipped with all the required resources and facilities if the COVID-19 situation in the country aggravates according to Bumthang Dzongda. An Alternative Livelihood Support Program has also been launched to meaningfully engage staff of hotels and entertainment centres.
Meanwhile, with the Cordyceps harvest season drawing near, the administration is in dilemma whether or not to send Cordyceps collectors for their annual harvest as usual.
