At around 1.30 am this morning, hailstorm and strong winds damaged crops in Lamthang and Budhashi chiwogs of Goshing Gewog under Zhemgang.
The gewog officials of Goshing visited the affected areas to assess the extent of damages and said not many households suffered damages except for two households and a farmers’ group vegetables.
Officials said around three acres of maize, buckwheat, chilli and other vegetables mostly belonging to the two households and the farmers’ group was damaged.
There were no reports of other damages in the gewog so far.
