The Bhutanese communities living in Australia contributes AUD 111,567.86 (over USD 62,200 amounting to over Nu 4.7 M) to His Majesty’s Kidu fund for COVID-19, according to a press release.
The fundraising drive was initiated in the last two weeks. The contribution from six various Bhutanese associations in Australia are:
- Adelaide Group: AUD155
- Australia Bhutanese Association of Canberra: AUD 21022.37
- Association of the Bhutanese in Perth Incorporated: AUD 78760.49
- Brisbane Bhutanese Association Incorporated: AUD 7032
- Druk Melbourne Association Incorporated: AUD 3803
- Sydney Bhutanese community: AUD 795
