Following leads from an informant, six people with travel history to Falakata in West Bengal, India were traced and quarantined today in Gelegphu. They failed to reveal their travel history at the entry point while returning to the country.

According to a source, the group comprising of five vendors and a driver went to Falakata on Monday and returned to the country on Tuesday. They have spent two nights with their families after their visit to Falakata. They will now be quarantined for 14 days, and their family members will be on home-quarantine under the supervision of health officials.

Since the 16th of March, Sarpang Dzongkhag quarantined 34 people including the six who were back from Falakata, and 24 people were sent for home-quarantine.

From those quarantined, 19 are students returning from various colleges in India.
