Against the increasing spread of fake news, rumours and misinformation related to Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) in the country through various platforms, the National COVID-19 Media team was formed yesterday.

The team will coordinate daily press briefings and provide hourly updates and information on key developments on all social media platforms of the Health Ministry.

At the same time, the government is requesting the public to stay updated through the news shared by the Prime Minister’s Office and the Health Ministry and consider these two as the authentic source of information related to the disease.
