A 68-year-old man was killed on the spot by an elephant in Peljorling B village under Sibsoo Gewog this morning at around 4:30 am. The elephant attacked the deceased while he was going to toilet, which is located about 50 metres away from the house. The elephant was usually spotted in the nearby forest feeding on the bamboo. As per the medical reports the elephant tampered on the deceased body, breaking his spinal cord.
The deceased is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.
