CMI budget won’t be directly credited to gewogs’ account

The National Assembly did not support the proposal to deposit gewog Common Minimum Infrastructure budget directly to the gewog account.

Member of Parliament of Bartsham Shongphu, Passang Dorji (PhD) proposed that from coming fiscal year, Nu 7.8bn allocated for gewog Common Minimum Infrastructure budget in the 12th five-year plan be directly given to gewogs.

The House did not support the motion with  18 yes, 19 no and 7 abstain out of 44 members present and voting.
