A forest fire between Pam and Chhenangri under Samkhar Gewog in Trashigang which started at around 2.30 pm this afternoon is still not contained.
Although no casualty has been reported so far, a cowshed at Pam was burnt down and an ox was injured. Police, Forest officials, Desuups, and Dzongkhag officials were deployed to control the fire which is spreading towards Rangzhikhar village and Kanglung Gewog.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
