Unless we understand their problems and challenges we cannot do a real capacity building problem e-commerce,” said Rajan Sudesh Ratna (PhD), the Economic Affairs Officer at United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).
Women entrepreneurs also learnt to go about digital marketing which will help them to promote their business in the international market.
“This e-commerce provides a solution that they can do the business from home. They do not need to go to the shop, they do not need to spend the whole day outside. They can do their business at a very convenient time as per their convenience. So this workshop tries to explore their opportunities as to how the women entrepreneurs can benefit from the E-commerce platform to expand their business,” he added.

It is a very good opportunity for the young start-up entrepreneurs in Bhutan like us because e-commerce is going to take us globally and it is a good opportunity for us,” shares Thinley Yangzom, the founder of Bhutan Super Food and Herbs at Paro.
