The Dorji Lopen of the Central Monastic Body appointed the new General Secretary of the Zhungdratshang and the new Lam of Talo Zimchu Sarp in Punakha. The Dorji Lopen awarded Tashi Lekdhar to the appointees at the Punakha Dzong this morning.
43-year old Yeshey from Punkha is the new General Secretary of the Central Monastic Body. He served as a finance officer in the Zhungdratshang before assuming the current post. He completed his studies from Nalanda Shedra in Punakha.
The new Lam of Talo Zimchu Sarp is 36-year-old PeldenTshering from Paro. Prior to his current post, he served in Kuzu FM. He completed his studies from Tango University of Buddhist Studies.
