The Gaedu College of Business Studies might possibly be relocated to Monggar in the future. Prime Minister Dr Lotay Tshering said, following some informal discussions the government has asked the Royal University of Bhutan (RUB) to see this possibility. The Prime Minister said, the ultimate intention of the relocation, however, is not to establish TVET institute at the existing Gaedu college.

“If business college and IT college are established nearby, because these two colleges have similarity, there will be a possibility of interchangeability of lecturers. Moreover, college students from the two colleges get to interact, there will be new ideas coming up. Considering these benefits, we just requested the RUB and they told us they will hold an internal discussion on it. When we talk about the relocation, it is not that we are intentionally planning to establish TVET institute in Gaedu college. We are thinking the present Gaedu college will be suitable for TVET centre only if the relocation seems beneficial,” said Prime Minister Dr Lotay Tshering.
