The Honorary Consul of Bhutan to Sweden, Phub Zam was conferred with “The Royal Order of the Polar Star” on Tuesday in recognition of her services in strengthening the ties between Sweden and Bhutan.
The order was awarded by the King and Queen of Sweden in Delhi who are on a six-day visit to India. It is awarded only to foreigners and members of the Royal Family who has done a great service to the country of Sweden. Facilitating Bhutanese and Swedish people visiting either countries by the consulate office in Bhutan is one of such notable services.
