BoB recognised for their employee scholarship programme

Along with the Royal Insurance Corporation of Bhutan Limited, the Bank of Bhutan is one of the recipients of Outstanding Development Project Awards of the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific. The BoB received the award in recognition of their Employee Scholarship programme categorised under the Human Resource Development Award.

Under the programme implemented in 2010, BoB provides merit based scholarship for mastersprogramme to its employees. Till date, a total of 13 scholarships have been awarded. The Chief Executive Officer of BoB, PassangTshering, said such scholarship programme demonstrates the importance BoB places for the development of its employees.

“This is a prestigious award which we have received. This reward definitely will encourage the employees of the management to work harder in the days to come and we are sure that with this plaque of merit, we can definitely enhance our services here in the kingdom and maintain the pace of growth we have been maintaining,” said the CEO.
