The selection round for Men’s Khuru Tournament at the National level kick-started from Bumthang, yesterday. Team Chamkhar Throm was selected from Bumthang during the selection.

The organisers are now conducting the selection in eastern districts. They will select a team each from the 20 districts for the final to be held in February, next year coinciding with His Majesty The King’s birthday celebrations at Thimphu. Players from the top 3 teams will be awarded a power tiller each along with other individual prizes such as rice mill machines and cash prizes.

Tsarap Events, which is organising the tournament, aims to promote traditional games and sports, especially Khuru through the competition.
