Panbang Basic Health Unit (BHU) in Zhemgang has recorded 26 dengue fever cases since July this year, including one from Zhemgang BHU.
This is the highest number of dengue fever cases reported in the history of Zhemgang Dzongkhag. The last 2 inpatients were discharged last week from the BHU.
Health officials of Panbang described that patients suffering from dengue mostly have travel history in the affected areas. Only a few don’t have travel history.
BHU officials stated that August month has the highest record of dengue fever cases. The cases, however, will subside by the end of October.
