A 56-year-old man from Norbugang village under Shompangkha Gewog lost his life when he was struck by a Motorbike while returning home with his cattle from grazing on Wednesday night.

The incident took place at around 7:30 pm along the Gelegphu – Sarpang highway at Dargyethang (Patabari), below the Shompangkha Gewog office. Sources say that the biker was trying to avoid collision with the cattle and accidentally knocked down the deceased.

The biker is under Sarpang police custody. Police are investigating the case.
