The frequent breakdown of fuel depot at Tungkutenpa in Panbang, Zhemgang agitates the motorists. It has been a week that the fuel depot in Panbang stopped dispensing fuel.
Motorists in Panbang alleged that the fuel depot runs into the same problem every time when they are in need and cut off from other places.
Damchen Petroleum Corporation Limited (DPCL) officials in Gelegphu said that they have about 5000 litres of fuel in stock but could not dispense because their fuel pump machine has malfunctioned.
DPCL official also added that due to lack of technical experts in the country, they are hiring from the Indian Oil company and the expert will be arriving only tomorrow to repair.
However, DPCL officials stated to BBS that due to less fuel consumption in Panbang and the overdue payment from the gewogs have attributed to the serious problem of keeping the depot functioning daily. The official also said that the depot is running under huge loss.
