It’s a grand occasion for any Bhutanese living abroad to come together during festivals and organize programmes as it gives them an opportunity to keep them rooted to their traditional values. So in an effort to support the Bhutanese community living in New York to have a place to come together and celebrate, the government bought a community hall.

Prime Minister shared this during a press conference held recently.

“Our government bought a community hall. And that will be the meeting place for all Bhutanese living in New York for any cultural gatherings, religious gatherings, national events. It will be a hall for all of them. There’s a need for the hall to be little renovated otherwise it’s a big hall,” said Dr Lotay Tshering, the Prime Minister.
