Bhutan Open Amateur Championship starts

The 28th edition of the ‘Bhutan Open Amateur Championship’ began today in Thimphu. About forty amateur golfers are taking part in the four-day championship organized by Bhutan Golf Federation.

Golfers from neighbouring countries of India, Bangladesh and Nepal are also participating in the event. According to Bhutan Golf Federation, such championships are organized to promote the sport of golf and develop mutual friendship among fellow countrymen and with neighbouring countries.

The finals of the championship will be played this weekend at the Royal Thimphu Golf Course.
