Foreign Minister Dr Tandi Dorji said that there is good opportunity for the Bhutanese youth to study in Canada. He shared this at the press conference yesterday after returning from the United States and having met several foreign dignitaries.

Lyonpo said the number has not been finalised yet but about 1,000 Bhutanese youths would be allowed to study in Canada on scholarship.

“The visa processing in Delhi would also be borne by the Canada government. I would like to take this opportunity to share this that this is a very good opportunity for Bhutanese to study in Canada. The scholarship that they have given us is for two years and it can be on any level, TVET, under graduation or Master’s level. And the best part is after two years of study in Canada, they can stay for three years to work.”
