A massive landslide triggered by the heavy rainfall destroyed a suspension bridge over Yayugang stream between Shingkhar Gewog and Wamling village in Zhemgang on the night of 28th September.

The Yayugang suspension bridge of Shingkhar Gewog was completed in late 2018 and had been used for only six months.
The 50-metre long suspension bridge at Yayugang in Shingkhar connects most of the chiwogs and is the only means of motor connection for the people of Shingkhar Gewog to access faster gewog administrative service.

Meanwhile, gewog officials and the department of the road are coordinating to work out and planning to reconstruct the damaged bridge as soon as possible.
