The Dorji Lopen of the Central Monastic Body awarded certificates to the graduates of the Institute of Science of Mind in Tashichhodzong today.

The twenty-eight students who received certificates today are the first batch of regular students graduating from the institute.

The students graduated with a bachelors degree in Buddhist studies. The Institute of Science of Mind in Semtokha was established in 2014 by His Holiness the Je Khenpo. And it was in 2016 when the institute began to enrol regular students. Initially, it was pursued as continuing education.

In the institute, the students are taught basic Tibetan grammar, Mahayana path, translation, and English among others.

Today there are around 170 students pursuing the course in the institute.
