About 100 children between the age group of 6 to 12 years old participated in the one-day athletic festival in Samdrup Jongkhar thromde today. This kind of event is organized for the first time in the thromde.
Children participated in about 26 various kinds of events. The event is organized to promote love for sports among youth and children. It is also organized to promote a balanced and healthy lifestyle for the potential future stars of sporting events.
The event is organized by Samdrup Jongkhar Sports Association in collaboration with Bhutan Amateur Athletics Federation and Samdrup Jongkhar Dzongkhag administration.
