A single mother living with her six children fled from her home in time and escaped a major tragedy. They were living in Shali, Pantang under Shumar Gewog, Pemagatshel.

The family found an increasing amount of muddy water seeping in their hut during the night of 22nd July, then they decided to seek shelter at their grandmother’s place not very far from their house. Yesterday morning they found their damaged hut filled with debris and mud from landslides.

Today they are still staying with their grandmother. The village tshogpa informed the incident to the gewog and dzongkhag administration. Authorities are yet to visit and evaluate the damages.
