The continuous heavy rainfall for the past two days has left the owner of the newly built Panbang Ecolodge very worried.
The eroded highway at Tungkutenpa BoD diverted the watercourse towards Ecolodge below the Panbang – Gongphu highway. The swollen Mangdechhu has also collapsed the walls of the Ecolodge camp.
The owner said, if the rainfall continues for a few hours more, there is a huge risk of submerging the Ecolodge altogether.
