35-year-old Tashi Tshokey will represent Bhutan in the 12th South Asian Bodybuilding Championship in Nepal. He will be competing in the Sports Physique category. Along with two officials from Bhutan Bodybuilding Association, Tashi left for Nepal today.

The selection was done based on muscle mass, muscle cutting and body beauty among others. He will compete against bodybuilders from eight South Asian Nations.

For any competitions, we require a minimum three months to prepare our body but this time I didn’t get much time. I only got four weeks to prepare myself for the competition. I am not 100 per cent prepared but I still have three more days to prepare myself when I reach down at Nepal. I tried my best to prepare myself but I don’t know how it will go,” Tashi Tshokey said.

This is Tashi’s second time to participate in Bodybuilding Championship. He first participated in Asian Bodybuilding Championship in 2016 which was held in Thimphu.
