His Holiness the Je Khenpo released a magazine on the important religious sites and culture in Haa titled, ‘The 19th Moenlam Chenmo’. The magazine was released on the first day of the ongoing Moenlam Chenmo on July 7.

The magazine, which is aimed to educate people on cultural and economic development in the dzongkhag, has detailed narration on Meri Puen Sum to Chundu and Bon practices and tourism development plans.  Also, the account statement of the Haa Moenlam Chenmo’s budget was included.

“It is to be transparent about the dzongkhag’s moenlam chenmo’s budget. For example, the amount deposited in the banks and interest they get from the amount. Everything is being reflected in the magazine,” Haa Dzongda Kinzang Dorji said.

The articles of the magazine were written by the people of Haa.

“There are many Lams and Khenpo in Monastic Body who are from Haa and we have requested them to share their ideas and knowledge to us. Moreover, there are civil servants and I have asked them to write about their observations on some of their cultures.”

The Dzongkhag Administration says they will distribute the copies of the magazine to every household in Haa.

Meanwhile, the annual Moenlam Chhenmo will conclude tomorrow.
