A fire razed a two-storey traditional house at Zangdari in Ngatshang Gewog in Monggar today. The incident happened at around 9 in the morning. An electrical short circuit is said to have caused the fire.

Although no casualties have been reported, the house owner and a tenant lost almost all their properties to the fire. However, Police, DeSuups and local people could save some properties from the fire. The Fire fighting team managed to prevent the fire from spreading to a nearby bungalow.
